I own four SYMA helos and they all have different characteristics.

First, I purchased a red SYMA S107G for 22$ and was blown away. However, after a multitude of crashes related to hitting the ceiling my first one was beginning to show wear (rotor blades dented/chiped, broken canopy brace, led not centered, vertical stabilizer cracked awaiting it next crash to come off) within one week.

Second, I purchased a second SYMA 107G and it came as yellow. The first thing I noticed was the yellow one, while completely identical other than color, was much more powerful and battery lasted longer. As a result, it was more fun and more difficult to fly than red.

Third, being that I am former active duty helocopter mechanic (CH-53a,d,e, T64-GE-416) for the Marines, I bought the S108G (Cobra). Folks, the Cobra is a completely different helo all together. The collective (vertical control) is not spring loaded like the SYMA S107G. Not only that, the Cobra is much more robust in its response and power and can be difficult to manage. This is troublesome to me as the Cobra's body and frame appears to be completely plastic (as apposed to the S107 having a metal frame). Also, the Cobra has one solid white light which I prefer to the flashing blue and red o the S107G. Because the collective is not spring loaded you can make it hover and set the controls down on a table it still flies. Sometimes I forget to return the collective to zero when I crash. The Cobra has lost reception several times and when it does it falls from the air and crashes. The Cobra appears to "Pop and Click" like a Marine should--no kidding. It can speed around room much faster than the others and turns much more quickly. In fact, the other seems sluggish in comparison and it is easy to "oversteer."

Forth, I also needed to satisfy my curiousity related to S109 (Apache). I have found the S109 is easier than all to fly. It also has two white leds rather than the flashing blue and red of the S107G. The controller is the same as the S107. Overall, I really find it enjoyable to reliably fly around the room with complete and utter control. I think they did this to keep the Army from crashing out of control--just kidding solders!

Bottom line, I give the S109 top rating over the others. I do find the responsivness and speed of the Cobra stimulating and of interest so I rate it second. If I fly with someone else I will choose the Cobra for its speed and responsivenees. In the end, I don't think the metal frame of the S107G will add much value as the rest of the helo is plastic and does break. The cost of replacement parts cannot be justified as a new S107G currently goes for 22$.

Nice car for our grandson. However, it does not have nearly the bells and whistles of a McQueen car I purchases several years ago for our older grandson, who was younger at the time of purchase. This one has some sound but has no buttons, etc. to maneuver it, make it go forward, backward, etc. This car is flashy to look at, as was the first one we bought, just lacks a lot of the same features.

As a mom with 6 kids of different ages, I look for toy that my younger ones can play but that don't make me crazy with boredom. My 4 year old can only make it through 1/2 a toy, the end gets too complex for him, but my 7, 10, and 12 year old boys love it, as do my in-laws and everyone else who has played it with us. I like toy that only take minute to explain and start playing but that have enough strategy to keep the mind occupied. Also at 30-45 minutes a round, it's enough of a distraction but doesn't take hours to play. The game consists of wooden toy tiles with 6 different shapes and colors and that's it. Very durable, my 4 year old loves to build Qwirkle toy castles. I recommend this game. My other favorites are Blokus, Othello and Rummikube, all the same genre, fun, easy to explain and play and yet a challenge.

I bought this toy playset for my son, along with a small starter track, because I was not sure how much he would like to play with it and I didn't want to spend a ton of money if it wasn't going to get much use.

My son loves opening and closing the toy's gates (one gate triggers the two alternating sounds) and also pressing the button to make the sounds. There are also two red flashing lights.

Seeing how much fun he has with it, I am extremely happy that I purchased toy Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway- Deluxe Railroad Crossing for him.

p.s. Since I bought this I have also bought him a few other "destinations" as they are called, and I have noticed that he seems to enjoy the ones that make noise or have lights - not sure if that would help or not, but I just thought I would mention this toy.

Fabulous for Preschoolers
This is a terrific toy. Out of the hundereds I spent at Christmas, this toy has gotten the most playing time from my 3 1/2 year old and 10 month old. I definitely recommend it. It is fun and simple and quiet!! THey love mixing and matching the stamps and using the key.

After much research, we recently gave this kitchen to our 2-year-old son, and we all LOVE it. It has already generated hours and hours of fun.

This product comes with the following extras: two bowls, two plates, two spoons, two knives, two special pans with lids (one sizzles, one boils- even making the sound of water hitting the burner!), two cups, one phone (which also generates sound), and salt & pepper shakers. (You will need to buy food.)

We chose this product for a number of reasons:
- It provides just the right amount of sounds. We wanted to have some sound effects, but not so many that it inhibited creativity. This has the perfect combo.

- The doors to the appliances open like real appliances-- unlike other toy kitchen sets we looked at.

- It is sturdy and a good height. He won't outgrow it for a while.

- There is plenty of storage space (three drawers and a cabinet- plus the refrigerator and stove), good counter space, and the cutest little dish shelf. Other kitchen sets offered extras such as dishwashers, but nothing in this range offered the same amount of counter and storage space. It really helps make it feel like a real kitchen.

The only cons:

- I wish it had a full-sized refrigerator, but most kitchen sets don't. And I knew that when I bought it, so I can't really complain!

- The "magic" burner which generates the sounds doesn't sit quite level. But it doesn't inhibit play, and our son hasn't noticed at all.

It did take my husband about an hour to put it together (with stickers), but he actually said he enjoyed putting this toy together.

All in all, we are thrilled with this kitchen set and know we made the right decision. It was well worth the money to hear my son yell while he is cooking, "I did it!" You can't go wrong with this kitchen!

My son love this toy
My son is not the biggest Handy Manny fan, but he IS a fan. Last year for his birthday when he turned 3 we got him the motorcycle set and he loved that. He got this set this year for his 4th birthday and I think this is the perfect age, as he has better fine motor skills and a little more patience, plus is playing "pretend" much more often. We love this toy! I have had no problems yet with moving it and having it fall apart. I mean, sure the pieces that sit off the end, like the garbage chute and the pully, those come off, but the workshop it self is sturdy. I think it's a pretty good value too for $19.99! I didn't even realize it was going to come with so much stuff. I'm already looking online to buy the 2 other pieces that go with this set!
